The next lunar eclipse will be on September 18, 2024.

It will be a partial lunar eclipse where Earth's umbra, the darkest part of its shadow, covers parts of the Moon's visible surface.

A lunar eclipse can be seen from all locations on the night side of Earth.

This eclipse will be visible in Washington DC. It will begin at 8:41:07 pm local time when the Earth's shadow will begin covering the lunar surface. The eclipse will be over at 12:47:27 am.
